The Review
For a pod system, it actually looks kinda cool. I like the sleek, easy to use design... but that's where it kinda stops being good.
As a bonus, this one comes with a charging cable - although at less than 8cm long, it isn't very practical and only a small amount of users will actually be able to make sure of it.
It comes with 2 pods which each claim to be 1000 puffs using 2ml of eliquid (which - we know, produces an apparent average of 600 puffs... so how are they stretching it to 1000?) Well there are many things brands can do to stretch out 2ml to last longer. Vuse chose on this device to make the inhale incredibly tight and restrictive, almost to the point of being difficult to use. But even that failed, as I only got an average of 600 out of each pod, or 1200 for the entire kit.
In terms of recharging, a full battery will last about 3/4 of a pod and it took an average of 1 hour 37 minutes to go from completely flat to fully charged (average time measured over 3 recharge cycles).
But let's get to the biggest issue - the flavour and the hit. The flavour is ok in itself but doesn't give much in the way of a throat hit. The problem? The vapour feels dry - and it leaves a residue in your mouth. It is a very strange unusual sensation which is not pleasant. The best way I can describe it is that it feels like the vapour is coating your mouth with a very fine, sticky powder which sticks around for a minute after each inhale. I was hoping this would soon stop after a bit of use, but nope - this lasted the entire duration. And it wasn't just one pod either, both pods were exactly the same.
In short - well below advertised puff count, very restrictive inhale, and an unusual feeling of something coating your mouth after use made this one very unpleasant to use.
